Republic of Croatia

Republic of Croatia is situated in southeastern Europe, in the northwestern corner of the Balkan Peninsula.

Its population is 4,495,904. Zagreb is the largest city and also the capital.

Croatia is a parliamentary democracy with an elected president who appoints a council of ministers and a prime minister. Croatia is divided into 21 administrative districts.

Croatia is full of nature beauties like Velebit, Brijuni, Kornati Islands , Plitvice Lakes and Adriatic Sea. Adriatic is one of the worlds most beautiful seas because its cleanness and clear blue color. Dubrovnik is known as a major tourist resort on the Adriatic Sea. But there are also towns like Pula, Šibenik, Split etc., which are very popular tourist destinations. In continental Croatia are destinations like Zagreb and Varaždin (known as „The Baroque City“). Continental Croatia is rich with thermal resorts and castles.
